Сама она психолог и написала книгу под названием “Ты должна была знать” – в ней речь о том, что тетки прощелкивают исходящие от мужиков с самого начала сигналы и оказываются замужем за козлами. В общем, такое профессиональное белое пальто. Книга уже должна вот-вот выйти. И тут оказывается, что Грейс сама все прощелкала.
По жанру это не детектив и даже не триллер. Это драма о том, что даже близкого человека нельзя до конца узнать, о то, что надо доверять, но проверять, и о том, как справиться с ударами судьбы. Героиня в начале кажется черствой и холодной, но, оказывается, она просто не умеет проговаривать свои чувства ротом. Слушать умеет, а говорить нет. Книга немного затянута обилием подробностей, но, с другой стороны, это создаёт портрет персонажа и образа жизни. В конце немного сопляво, но мило.
