1940 год. Только что произошло масштабное отсутпление в Дюнкерке. Нация морально подавлена, блиц-бомбардировки Лондона также не способствуют подъему боевого духа. В дело вступает Министерство Информации. Там решают снять духоподъемный фильм. Сценарист у них уже есть, но они в придачу нанимают барышню, чтобы она писала про “сопли”. Хорошо бы под сопли заполучить какую-то реальную историю, и Кэтрин отправляется брать интервью.
В кино щедро льют пафос, сопли, вставляют спасенную собачку и любовную линию (тогда еще знали толк). Приглашают, конечно, слегка поюзанную звезду на одну из главных ролей, чтобы привлечь зрителей. А чтоб в кино пошли американцы, добавляют в сюжет американца, хотя он совершенно не пришей к ЖПО рукав.
Получилось ужасно смешно и наверняка понравится тем, кто любит все это киношное закулисье. Для плезиру в кино щедро добавили хороших актеров: Била Найи (он вообще где-то бывает не к месту), Джемму Аттертон, Хелен МакКрори, Сэма Клафлина, Джека Хьюстона и даже Джереми Айронса.
Чтоб не ржали совсем уж, как лошади, грустного в кино тоже добавили. Готовьте платочки.
