Фильм “Охота на дикарей”/Hunt for the Wilderpeople ужасно смешной, но при этом невероятно милый, с фирменным режиссерским юмором и без соплей. Вайтити также сам написал сценарий, основанный на книге Барри Крампа.
Подросток Рикки ужасно противный и совершенно неуправляемый. Все, что можно изговнять или сломать, он сломает и изговняет. Тетка из опеки, ужасно напоминющая регбиста со зверской рожей из рекламного ролика, подыскивает ему новую приемную семью: в конской жопе где-то в буше. Рикки не в восторге, но выбирать не из чего, дальше только исправительное заведение. Семейство оказывается дурноватым, и Рикки внезапно вписывается в него, как родной. Но тетка умирает, а мужик о Рикки заботиться не рвется. Впрочем, от Рикки так просто не избавиться, раз уж он нашел свою семью, да и в заведение не хочется.
Весь фильм на экране небольшое количество персонажей, но они ярчайшие: безумная тетка из опеки, угрюмый мизантроп-приемный папаша, который запрещает называть его дядей (его играет Сэм Нил), тетка, сам пацан (совсем не противный), дурноватые охотники, папаша с дочерью, встреченные в глуши, конспиролог. И камео самого Тайки буквально на пять минут, вызвавшее у меня приступ истерического смеха. Короче, хорошее настроение от фильма гарантировано.
