Дадли тщательно окучивает неюную уже королеву и совсем не хочет поступаться своим положением, которое точно изменится, если королева выйдет замуж. На горизонте появляется молоденький и хорошенький французский принц, и у Дадли дергается глаз.
С одной стороны надоело смотреть про мужиков Елизаветы и хочется посмотреть про ее дела, но с другой стороны в этом сериале, как в никаком другом, хорошо показано, насколько монарх не принадлежит себе и насколько в сущности всем насрать на саму королеву: людей заботят только их статус, деньги и положение.
Хелен Миррен – богиня, Айронс, как обычно, склизкий – в роли Дадли, Хью Денси – хорошенький молоденький дурачок Эссекс. Костюмы и интерьеры – отвал башки и полное вылезание глазьев.
