Сериал “Британия”/Britannia с задачей справляется. Кроме упомянутых элементов жанра, там есть немного мистики, а также важный элемент кровь-кишки-распидорасило.
Давным-давно еще Юлий Цезарь задумал завоевать Британию, там были олово и другие полезные ископаемые. Но плохая погода и полный лес дурных людей, обожравшихся грибов, его отпугнули. Император Клавдий, даром что был тюфяком, про Британию тоже где-то помнил, но сам в поход не поперся, а отправил Авла Плавтия, консула и военачальника. Плавтий был сам настолько дурной, что друидами в лесу его был не испугать.
Друиды тем временем увлеченно гадают на кишках, жрут грибы и вмешиваются в общественно-политическую жизнь двух местных племен. Те давно в контрах: дочка вождя одного племени отрезала яйца сыну вождицы второго племени. В этот бардак и прутся римляне, по дороге немножко убивая и устраивая разруху. В замес попадает Мордатая – местная девочка, не успевшая пройти обряд посвящения. Мордатая оказывается важной частью этой истории.
Лучше не лазить в википедию, а мозг вынуть и просто наслаждаться этим укуренным зрелищем на фоне очень красивых британских пейзажей, а также перепетиями сюжета. Авла Плавтия играет Дэвид Морисси, который забыл выйти из своего образа в Хордячих мертвецах, есть еще очень красивые Келли Райлли и Стэнли Вебер. Подряд много серий лучше не смотреть, ощущение такое, вроде жрала грибы вместе с друидами.
