Посмотрела тут древнюю прелесть и с удовольствием несу вам. Сериал “Аристократы”/Aristocrats 1999 года не может похвастаться страстями и сексом в кустах, как “Тюдоры”, здесь все намного более реалистично и менее гламурно. Зато более аккуратно с исторической и костюмной точек зрения.

В 1957 году автор и историк Сюзан Тиллъярд опубликовала книгу, основаную на историх жизни четырех сестер Леннокс, которые родились во второй половине 18 века. Их отцом был герцог Ричмонд – очень богатый, очень родовитый (потомок Карла 2) и очень гонористый. Так что, когда старшая дочь, Кэролайн, собралась замуж за умного, подающего надежды политика Генри Фокса, который по знатности не дотягивал, папо и мамо встали на брови. А когда следующая дочь, Эмили, собралась замуж за ирландского аристократа, они встали на брови второй раз.

Немного неспешно, даже медитативно, зато очень реалистично, немного грустно местами и красиво. Платтьячки не просто выглядят очень аутентично, они еще меняюся на протяжении сериала, поскольку менялась мода. В молодости одну из теток играла (опять!!!) Джоди Мей, а другую – Мария Энн Дафф. Папеньку играет Джулиан Феллоуз.
