1946 год, инторнет еще не придумали, скукота. Особенно во всяких маленьких городишках и на отдаленных фермах. В городишке Элмвуд-спрингс живет Дороти, которую множество людей по всей стране знает как “соседку Дороти”. Она ведет жутко популярную передачу, где есть все: от новостей до советов. Соседка Дороти типа протоблогер, потому вся страна в курсе дел ее семьи, включая хулиганистого мальчика Бобби.
Если вы ничего не читали у Фэнни Флэгг, то я бы советовала начать с книги “Жареные зеленые помидоры”. Но, честно говоря, ничего прям откровенно неудачного я у нее не встречала. Да, это не высокая литература, но и не херня про жезлы, тут нет никаких жезлов, все мило, няшно и немного сопляво, но не приторно.
