Городская стража должна следить за порядком, но все кладут на нее болт, тем более, что члены соответствующих гильдий могут совершать преступления легально. Эти порядки здорово удивляют рыжего переростка Моркоу, который только что прибыл на службу. Но вскоре всем становится не до сантиментов, потому что в город заявляется дракон и он хочет драккарис.
Персонажи, конечно, ярчайшие. Мои любимцы – тяжко бухающий и весь сморщенный на манер Шарпея капитан Ваймс (Ричард Дормер, жгущий напалмом), небинарный здоровенный гном в немыслимых шмотках и цацах, мелкая оборотниха Ангва и дракончик, который сидит в переноске. В общем, если не читали Пратчетта, смело можете смотреть, вполе пристойное смешное фентези, но местами очень милое и даже трогательное.
