Молодого писателя Маркуса после выхода первого романа ждал оглушительный успех. Но потом его настигла боязнь чистого листа и полный творческий кризис. За советом он отправляется к своему учителю Гарри, тоже знаменитому писателю, в маленький городок Аврора, и случайно узнает, что у того 33 года назад была связь с 15ти летней девочкой, а потом эта девочка просто исчезла.
Маркус возвращается в НЙ, продолжая бороться с кризисом, и тут в Авроре , прямо во дворе дома его учителя, находят могилу пропавший девушки. При ней сумка с его рукописью и подписью «Прощай, милая Нола». Гарри, конечно, сразу заметает полиция, а Маркус решает разобраться в этом деле, попутно написав орасследовании книгу.
Автору браво, конечно. Каждый раз, когда уже, вроде, все проясняется , вылазят новые факты, которые ставят все с ног на голову. От книги оторваться невозможно до последней страницы.
Язык довольно корявый, особенно веселят отрывки великого романа. Так что есть надежда, что сериал это как-то заполирует.
Наш любимый доктор Секси, Патрик Демпси, играет Гарри, Маркуса играет Бен Шнетцер («Варкрафт»).
