К просмотру сериала Хранители/The Watchmen я подошла очень основательно. Сначала почитала отзывы, чтобы узнать, надо ли смотреть фильм, который вышел несколько лет назад. Создатель сериала сказал, что история новая, не римейк и даже не продолжение. Посмотрела одну серию, ничего не поняла. Прочитала статью в википедии про фильм. Ничего не поняла. Посмотрела еще одну серию. Опять ничего не поняла. Посмотрела режиссерскую версию фильма. 3 часа. Продолжила смотреть сериал, никак не могла решить, нравится ли он мне. На девятой серии решила, что нравится.
Мрачняк, анти-супергерои, маты, голые люди и насилие намекали на то, что это что-то вроде “Пацанов”, но нет. Угашенной безбашенности “Пацанов” и их юмора здесь нет, по атмосфере сериал совершенно другой. Не лучше и не хуже, просто другой.
Действие разворачивается в мире, похожем на земной, сверхъестественного тут нет, супергерой был всего один, причем искусственный, и тот давно свалил на Марс и самоизолировался. Были мстители в масках, но их извели или обезвредили. В масках теперь ходит полиция, чтобы сохранить анонимность. Такое решение было принято после того, как всю полицию Талсы извела под корень расистская организация “Седьмая кавалерия”. Спаслась только тетка и ее начальник. Тетка усыновила трех детей погибших полицейских и живет себе с мужем, якобы отойдя от дел. Но тут убивают того самого начальника, а тетка узнает шокирующий секрет о своей семье.
Накрутили, капец. Без фильма, конечно, не разобраться, его лучше посмотреть. Тем более, что его герои появляются в сериале, а некоторые вообще ключевые персонажи. Флэшбэки из разных времен, игрища с пространством и временем – следить за действием приходится внимательно, чтобы не вывихнуть мозг. Закручено интересно, сюжетные твисты неожиданны, но стилистика своеобразная, даже не знаю, с чем сравнить. Красивый, очень стильный видеоряд, а саундтрек просто отвал башки.
Из людей крутая Реджина Кинг, противный Айронс, Дон Джонсон и Том Мисон (целая куча).
