Бибисята (тм) держат слово и продолжают ускоренными темпами экранизировать Агату Кристи. Фанаты в основном недовольны, но я – не они. Агату Кристи я читала, потому что больше было нечего, да и то напрочь забыла. Так что уселась смотреть двухсерийный сериал Бледный конь (The Pale Horse) с чистого листа, привлеченная магическим именем: Руфус Сьюэлл. Это чувак, с которым я готова смотреть все.
Сьюэлл играет безутешного вдовца, который быстро утешился. Старая жена (с которой он пожил всего-ничего) уронила в ванну радио, а новая шопопало, какая-то противная и нудящая. В общем, приходится ходить к любовнице. Любовица клеит ласты, пока герой у нее. И практически одновременно клеит ласты тетка, в туфле у которой находят список имен. Почти все эти люди мертвы. Кроме нашего героя. Ясно, что просходит какая-то удивительно странная хрень, и герой начинат подозревать вавку голове.
С помощью сюрреалитической атмосферы и нелинейного повествования мастерски создается ощущение этой самой вавки в голове героя. И он, и зрители начинают подозревать мистическую подоплеку или банальное сумасшествие. Атмосфера эта, надо сказать, как красива, так и тягостна и даже местами страшна: как морок, который хочется стряхнуть. Из-за этого самого нелинейного повествования сериал придется смотреть внимательно, под глажку носков с трусами не получится. Сьюэлл, как всегда, прекрасен, остальные его хорошо оттеняют.
