В сериале ни одного приятного персонажа, зато за все три сезона я ни разу не промотала заставку.
Миллиардер Логан Рой трошки устал и собирается на покой, а дела (медиаимперию) – передать кому-то из детей. Их четверо: старший в бизнесе не занят, встречается с дурищей-девушкой по вызову, второй сын – торчок в разводе, младший сын – склизкий инфантил, помешанный на сексе, а дочь выглядит самой разумной, но она занимается политикой. Есть еще муж дочери, который усиленно лезет в семейный бизнес, и потрясающий долбоеб-кузен. Торчок-Кендалл, который по сути не туп и не плох, нынче в завязке и по уши в семейном бизнесе, он с нетерпением ждет, когда папаша свалит и перестанет жрать ему мозг, потому что папаша не просрал хватку, но по сути он старопердун, не понимающий новых тенденций. Но папаша внезапно передумывает. И тут его хватает удар. Акции летят вниз стремительным домкратом.
Персонажи противные все, но иногда некоторых жаль: они не умеют строить отношения с обычными людьми, любят папашу и стремятся ему угодить или хотят вырваться из его тени, а для него важнее всего дела, мамаша при разводе их бросила. Папаша вообще гнусный токсичный мудила. Но потом понимаешь, что сами они относятся к другим людям, как к грязи, и жалеть перестаешь, просто наблюдаешь, как они творят херню, сбиваются в союзы, пытаются свалить папапшу, пытаются угодить папаше и не уронить пресловутую медиаимперию, потому что в свете миту она оказалась в конкретной жопе.
В сериале страшно матерятся и творят херню, юмор отличный, манера съемки (особенно в первом сезоне) – просто чума, музыка – отдельно прекрасное произведение. Ну и актеры играют просто вынос мозга.
Младшенького играет Киран Калкин (да, брат Маколея), и он феерически талантлив, а созданный им образ инфантила, упоротого на сексе, идеально ложится на его внешность. Кендалла играет Джереми Стронг, который получил за роль Эмми, он натурально жжот. Брайан Кокс крут в роли Логана Роя, остальные чуть проще, но тоже хороши. Макфедя удивительно на своем месте в образе туповатого зятя Логана. В третьем сезоне у них есть полсерии Броуди и несколько серий Александра Скарсгарда, который, как обычно, играет гадкого типа.
