Пламенем тут не горит, присяжных нет, а прокурорчик и адвокатик не рвут на части свидетелей на перекрестном допросе.
Небольшая, но успешная адвокатская фирма занимается семейным правом. Кишкомотные разводы, опека над детьми, брачные договора и даже права на яйцеклетки и эмбрионов. В суде немного сражаются, но самую малость, все больше трутся по переговорным, где даже не выдирают друг другу волосы. Одно слово – британцы.
Семейную фирму основала мать, бой-тетка, которой к началу сериала исполняется 70. Она вырастила трех дочерей, двое из которых стали юристами, а третья испугалась и не стала. Она из всей семьи самая милая. Старшая дочь, Ханна, обиделась, что мать не передала ей дела, и ушла к конкурентам. Со средней они в довольно натянутых отношениях. Младшая, фиялка, собирается замуж. Отец юридического семейства вышел за газетой 30 лет назад и сгинул. Спустя все эти годы этот милый человек вернулся и пытается наладить отношения с дочерьми.
Ханна тем временем довольно успешно работает в новой фирме и, кажется, изменяет мужу.
Просто прекрасно. Жизненный, интересный сериал про юристов, где юризм органично сочетается с проблемами и радостями обычной жизни. Интересные персонажи, некоторым из которых хочется пробить с ноги. Даже дела интересные, даром, что семейное право. Формат одно дело – одна серия (причем дело непременно выигранное) здесь не соблюдается.
