Пропавшая семь лет назад девушка по имени Прейри возвращается домой при странных обстоятельствах. Кроме того, что она внезапно сигает с моста, выясняется, что пропала она слепой, а вернулась зрячей. Она якобы ничего не помнит, потому не рассказывает ФБР и родителям о том, где была все это время. Зато решает довериться мальчикам-подросткам, но не просто так, ей нужна какая-то помощь. Каждую ночь они собираются в заброшенном доме, где Прейри рассказывает фантастическую историю: она якобы родилась в России, в семье олигарха, с детства видела пророческие сны, а потом пережила ОКС (опыт клинической смерти), что усилило её способности. Сначала мальчики настроены скептически, но постепенно начинают верить.
Странный, красивый и совершенно завораживающий сериал, который почему-то сравнивают с Очень странными делами. Но по атмосфере они разные, the OA намного более мрачный, дети тут старше, поэтому фантастический сюжет переплетается с подростковыми проблемами. К тому же присутствуют наркота и секс.
Сериал придумала Брит Марлинг, которая снялась в главной роли. На вопрос: вот зе фак, где второй сезон, она ответила, что она над ним работает, сезону быть. Может, он там и вовсе не нужен, как знать. Но если он будет таким же интересным, как первый, то почему нет.
