Отец Оливии, полицейский, долго бился над делом, но так и не смог его раскрыть: молодую беременную тетку закопали на пляже по шею в песок, и она утонула в приливе. За всем этим из кустов наблюдал 9-летний мальчик. Но полиция не смогла даже раскрыть личность жертвы.
Спусть более 20 лет его дочь, учащаяся полицейской академии, получает этот висяк в качестве задания на лето. Девушка умная, любопытная, подмечающая тонкости, она первым делом отправляется на остров, где произошло преступление. И, видимо, задает какие-то правильные вопросы, потому что начинается шебуршение. Параллельно развивается линия про бомжей, на которых совершаются зверские нападения и мальчика, участвующего в подземных боях. Очень мрачненько.
Повествование развивается довольно неторопливо, авторы ловко уводят зрителей по ложному следу. Финальный твист неуловимо напоминает индийское кино, хотя никто не танцевал и даже не пел.
Сейчас выходит 2 сезон.
