В темном-темном лесу стоит мрачный-мрачный дом. А около него – старое-старое клабище. Одна девочка с одним мальчиком пошли на него попыриться, потому что дом связан с историей девочкиной семьи. Девочке настал кирдык, а мальчик на всю жизнь остался притрушенным, вырос и пошел работать в полицию. Когда возле водопада находят непонятную мертвую тетку, оказывается, что следы ведут к тому давнему кирдыку в темном-темном лесу. И чем дальше, тем все страньше.
Самое лучшее в этом сериале – это атмосфера. Она обволакивает и засасывает дождем, туманом и сезоном говна, стаями ужасных орущих птиц, шелестом голых ветвей деревьев и шумом водопадов. Кроме, собственно, расследования, тут есть немного личных дел детективов, но все это, в принципе, нужно по сюжету. Жанр сериала указывают как “хоррор”, но я бы все-таки сказала, что это детектив с налетом мистики. В сериале есть Мартин Хендерсон, который еще торт.
