Элизабет и Дарси поженились, все у них асисяй, подрастает младенец. Пемберли красивое, люстры, мрамор, картины и тот самый пруд, по всему этому благолепию бродит все еще незамужняя Джорджиана, тоже красивая. Красивый и суровый Дарси собирается сплавить ее замуж за полковника Фицуильяма, хотя она уже присмотрела себе другого.
Посреди всего этого богачества бродит Элизабет со скорбным *бальцем и в таких шмотках и с такой причей, вроде трудится тут не леди, а посудомойкой. Планируется бал, на который прибывают родственники Элизабет. Припирается и Лидия, которую никто не звал. Но по дороге с ней произошел конфуз: Уикхем то ли убился, то ли его убили, Лидия орет, ниче не разобрать. И хотя придурошные родственники жены ему на х*й не упали, Дарси отправляется разбираться.
В общем-то очень неплохо, сама история интересная, особым фанфиком все это не выглядит, пара флэшбэков отсылает зрителя к оригинальной истории. Персонажи все выдержаны в духе романа и прекрасно сыграны. Мэттью Риз признался, что посмотрел ГиП 95 года и слямзил манеру игры у Ферта. Папа и мама Беннет какие надо: прелесть какая дурочка и язвительный старый джентельмен. Лидия дурища и богически сыграна Дженной Колман. Уикхем совершенно прекрасен в исполнении Мэттью Гуда. Элионор Томлинсон – клевая Джорджиана. Джеймс Нортон играет ее возлюбленного и выглядит совершенной дусей.
Но бляха, что это за недоразумение вместо Элизабет? Ладно, опустим внешность, хотя у Анны Максвелл Мартин она на любителя. Но она явно не то что не смотрела ГиП 95 года, но и роман не читала. С чего она взяла, что нужно играть унылую снулую рыбу с вечно кислой рожей?!
Пемберли снимали в Пемберли, то есть в Чатсуорт-хаусе, который показывали в ГиП 95 года. Выглядит снаружи и изнутри божественно прекрасно.
