Авторка совместила в первой книге сразу две волшебных сказки: Красавицу и чудовище и На восток от солнца, на запад от Луны, добавив туда фейри, немного секса, кровищи и жестокости. Действие разворачивается в мире, где 500 лет назад люди и фейри устроили войнушку. Фейри не добрые и не пушистые, они бессмертные, когтястые, зубастые и чуть что – выпускают людям кишки.
Семейство гг, чисто как в сказке, внезапно обеднело. Гг кормит всю семью, промышляя охотой. И однажды убивает волка, который не волк. Согласно фейскому договору, ей придется отсидеть остаток жизни в фейской стране. Можно было выпустить ей кишки, но у главного фея весеннего двора – свои коварные планы. В принципе все нелогичности сюжета потом в этот коварный план укладываются.
Перевод, как водится ужасен. Я умудрилась взять худший, второй получше. Книга могла бы закончиться фонтаном соплей, но автор добавила жестяка. В итоге я уже с интересом всосала часть второй.
