Техащина изнемогает под гнетом злых банкиров (я б их пожалела, не знай я о наших процентах по ипотеке). У матери главных героев (которая к началу повествования уже умерла) есть ипотечное ранчо, которое надо выкупить, come hell or high water. Потому что “я жил в бедности, мои родители жили в бедности. Бедность, как зараза. Я хочу, чтобы мои дети были от неё избавлены”. Один из братьев, тот, у которого дети, и на которого отписано ранчо, разрабатывает план погашения ипотеки – грабить банки, деньги отмывать через индейское казино. Второй брат, отсидевший долбогрыз, впрягается из братских чувств. Зачем им убыточное ранчо? А там нашли нефть.
Ловят этих красавчиков рейнджер без пяти минут на пенсии и его напарник, наполовину индеец. Парочка эта отдельно прекрасна, потому что старший бесконечно стебет младшего шутками про индейцев, но видно, что они привязаны друг к другу. Старшего играет Джефф Бриджес.
Братьев играют Бен Фостер, который жжот напалмом, и Крис Пайн, который на его фоне не жжот. Кино чумовое, захватывающее и переживательное.
