Датское ихвсе. Номинировался на Оскар, основан на романе лауреата Нобелевской премии. Прям страшно было начинать смотреть (3 часа, Карл!)
Питер – сын священника и очень амбициозный начинающий инженер, разосравшийся с отцом и пытающийся протолкнуть свои идеи в Копенгагене. Идеи у него действительно хорошие, но старые датские пердуны-консерваторы этого не понимают. В городе он очень кстати знакомится с представителем богатого еврейского банкирского семейства, который вводит его в свой круг. Тут бы ему сидеть и улыбаться, но он зачем-то втрескался в помолвленную дочь семейства.
Очень длинно, депрессивно, тоскливо (даже цвета оператор использовал унылые). Как-то пободрее со второй половины фильма. Автора книги покусал Джек Лондон периода Мартина Идена. Ненавижу эту книгу.

Ужасно милая Лора Линни играет работницу колледжа, которая занимается тем, что принимает решение о приеме в колледж. В один обычный день приходит письмо от явного раздолбая, но оно подписано фио человека, в которого героиня страстно была влюблена в школе. Даже слова и выражения в письме те же. Правда, это было 20 лет назад, и героиня немного не уверена. Письмо вызывает воспоминания и грусть, ведь ее возлюбленный давным-давно погиб в аварии. Но здравый смысл героине отказывает, и она приглашает будущего (или нет) студента на собеседование. Личная встреча оказываеся шоком.
Удивительно, мне никогда не нравилась Лора Линни, но после этого фильма я ее полюбила. Ее героиня такая трогательная, нежная, изо всех сил пытающаяся поверить в чудо. Фильм сам по себе дико странненький, но настроение поднимает отлично, тем более, то с юмором там тоже все хорошо.
В кино также есть Габриэль Бирн, Пол Радд, Марша Гей Харден и Тофер Грейс.
