По фильмам все знают итальянскую мафию и русскую тоже. Так вот румынская мафия, замешанная в этом деле и торгующая людьми, легко уделывает их обех по степени отмороженности. За банальным исчезновением стоит история кражи у этой самой мафии денег, и она не остановится, пока не вырвет всем печень.
В опасности окажутся все причастные, потому что эти отморозки легко убивают даже полицейских прямо на мирных улицах Амстердама, среди каналов, тюльпанов и велосипедов. А Батист в процессе всей этой беготни с удивлением узнает тайну из своего прошлого.
К чести BBC, несмотря на общую кровавость и ощущение того, что с кем угодно в любой момент может случиться жопа, не убили ни одной собачки или ребенка. Очень прекрасно можно ужаснуть зрителя и без этого.
От детектива тут, конечно, очень мало. В основном это очень напряженная криминальная драма и триллер. Миссис Мурпл (Батист) ничего не разгадывает, сидя на скамейке и лузгая семки.
