Анзак – аббревиатура, означающая армейский корпус Австралии+НЗ. Группа девушек Анзак, куда входили героини сериала, была отправлена в Египет, где поначалу было довольно няшно, пока не началась заруба в Галлиполи. Часть медсестер была переведена на Лемнос, где не было ровным счётом ничего.
Действие развивается очень динамично и охватывает весь период войны. Чтобы зритель не сидел идиотом, даются краткие пояснения того, что происходит на фронте. Героини перемещаются с Лемноса во Францию и в других направлениях. Тяжёлая, изнурительная работа, обстрелы, трагедии, операции в полевых условиях, непременный асисяй и очень интересные и привлекательные героини, за которыми хочется следить и за которых очень переживательно. Оторваться невозможно, хотя местами тяжело смотреть.
