От знаменитого писателя ушла жена, и он совсем скис. Две книги, которые он издал после ее ухода, он написал еще в браке, а с тех пор ни строчки. Зато пишут его дети: сын и дочь. Дочь предпочитает познавать мир всеми способами и спит со всеми подряд, тщательно избегая серьезных отношений. Она до сих пор злится на мать за то, что та оставила отца, и не общается с ней. Сын наоборот мир познавать не желает, с девочками не встречается, а с матерью дружит. Писатель по вечерам ходит подглядывать в окна жены и ее нового мужика, и иногда спит со своей знакомой, без обязательств.
Очень симпатичное, но нисколько не слащавое кино, без особой драмы-драмы, просто за жизнь, с небольшим сюжетным твистом. Грег Киннир и Нат Волф милые, Логан Лерман умеет играть (я это уже говорила), тетки не бесят, кроме Кристен Белл, но она всегда бесящая. Есть Патрик Шварцнеггер и даже Стивен Кинг (камео, как всегда). Кино отлично подходит для поднятия настроения.
