Книга Элены Ферранте “Моя гениальная подруга” промчалась по моей ленте, как шторм: все были от нее в восторге. Перед выходом сериала (уже в этом ноябре!) прошла вторая волна – читали те, кто завтыкал прочитать сразу. И там уже голоса разделились. Моя собственная гениальная подруга прочла книгу в первой партии и сказала, что всю книгу думала о нас. И, конечно, я тоже под влиянием этих слов. С ужасом.
Лила и Лену родились и росли в трущобном районе Неаполя 50-х, и этот мир омерзителен. Здесь никто никого не любит, все только терпят друг друга: жены мужей, матери – детей, соседи – друг друга. Насилие – это норма жизни. Отцы и братья бьют жен, детей и сестер. Мужики дерутся между собой. И все бесконечно орут и скандалят, швыряя в окна вещи и детей.
В этой прелестной обстановке ненависти и насилия растут две девочки, одна злая и умная, вторая мягкая и настойчивая, жаба и овца. Жабе, кажется, никто не нужен, она некрасивая, грязная, способная постоять за себя. Овце надо на кого-то молиться, и она прикипает к жабе всей душой и даже надрывается в школе, чтобы быть круче жабы. Но у жабы все выходит легко и без напряжения, в отличие от бедняги овцы: неуверенной, пухлой прыщавой и в очках (так она о себе думает), которой для достижения целей приходится тяжело трудиться. Обидно, да?
К счастью, жаба просирает все полимеры (точнее, ей становится скучно), и овца становится лучшей в школе. Но это уже не так интересно, ведь жаба ушла жить другой жизнью, она-то ни на кого не оглядывается.
В конце книги жаба (дивно похорошевшая, тру мэри сью) выходит замуж за лучшего парня района, богатого колбасника, а овца вся страдает от этого и осознает, что все они плебеи.
Хочется ли мне еще одну порцию грязищи, ненависти и насилия, но уже на экране? Айм нот шуре.
ПЫСЫ. И все же страшно интересно: я овца или жаба? Все такое вкусное.
