  23. Lady Gaga is set to release her seventh studio album in February.

Despite lead single Disease stalling on the
Hot 100 at No. 27, the 38-year-old is forging ahead with her next album, which she described as
    both ‘fun’ and ‘darker.’

Speaking to Vogue magazine about the project, Gaga
said that she’s been focused on the production side of her new songs.

‘I love producing — I always have — and something that was really
important to me making my seventh studio album was blending live instrumentation with programming,’ she explained.

‘The album is chaotic from a genre perspective — it is genre-bending, and I think in that way is a deeply personal look into my mind as a producer and the way I think about music.’

She also said that the album has a ‘darker pop’ sound that’s more in line with
her iconic 2009 album, The Fame Monster.

However, fans need not be worried that Gaga is going too somber with her sound.

‘The album is not extremely serious in that it’s very fun and
meant to be enjoyed at a party, in a club, or at home having personal
fun time — to be free of your worries at home or walking through life,’ she insisted.

Lady Gaga is focused on releasing her seventh studio album this February following the disappointing reception to
    lead single Disease

Gaga released the album’s lead single Disease last month to rave reviews from music critics, who lauded it
as a return to the star’s roots.

Unfortunately, the acclaim failed to translate to the charts,
with Disease debuting at No. 27 on the Hot 100 – her worst entry
for a lead single in 16 years.

On the bright side, Gaga is currently enjoying one of her biggest hits in years
thanks to her Bruno Mars duet, Die With a Smile.

The ballad has so far reached No. 2 on the Hot 100
and No. 1 on the Pop Airplay Chart.

It comes after Gaga’s leading role in the disastrous Joker: Folie à Deux.

The follow-up to the Oscar-winning 2019 film, starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck
(Joker) and Gaga as Lee Quinzel (Harley Quinn), faced negative reviews
from critics before its October 4 release and flopped at the
    box office.

Tim, 39, who played a guard at Arkham Asylum in the movie, said Todd Philips’s new film has ‘no plot’ and admitted he knew it was ‘going
    to bomb’ while filming.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast,
Tim said: ‘It’s the worst film ever made.

Gaga told Vogue magazine that she’s been focused on the production side
    of her new songs

Gaga released the album’s lead single Disease last month to rave reviews from music critics, but the song flopped on the Hot 100

‘I think what happened, after the first Joker,
there was a lot of talk like, “Oh, this was loved by incels. This was loved by the wrong kinds of people. This sent the wrong kind of message. Male rage! Nihilism!” All these think pieces.

‘And then I think, “What if we went the other way,” and now they have Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga tap dancing to a
point where it’s insane,’ he continued.

‘It has no plot. We would sit there, me and these other guys were all dressed in these security
outfits because we’re working at the Arkham Asylum, and I would turn to one of them
and we’d hear this crap and I’d go, “What the f*** is this?” And they’d go, “This is going to bomb, man.” I go,
“This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen.”

‘We were talking about it at lunch, and we’d
go, “What is the plot? Is there a plot? I don’t know, I think he falls in love with her in the prison?” It’s not even hate-watchable.
    That’s how terrible it is.’

The 64-year-old Bravo beauty decided to buy the Sin City abode after taking an in-person tour of the premises, which is situated on a golf course,
    sources told TMZ on Monday.

The reality star-restaurateur visited the home following production of the second season of
her Hulu series Vanderpump Villa, closing on the transaction in a
three-day span, insiders told the outlet.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s home in Las Vegas includes amenities such
as a large pool and incredible views of the surrounding desert area, according to the outlet.

The English socialite has been busy decorating the mansion and has ‘already settled in,’ insiders told the outlet.

Lisa Vanderpump, 64, pictured in LA in January, has purchased a $5 million Las Vegas mansion

With the purchase, Vanderpump and her spouse of 42 years, Ken Todd, 79, expand their real
estate portfolio, which also includes their estate in Beverly Hills, called Villa
    Rosa.

Vanderpump has spent extended stretches in Las Vegas as she
presides over a trio of local establishments.

  25. There are certain materials that we always fall back on for winter.
Linen is swapped out for leather; silk skirts for thick corduroy trousers.

But while we regularly see a smattering of suede on the high street by mid-October, this
year, the fabric has reached full-on domination.

It began in late summer with fringed suede jackets, the perfect layering piece to nail the boho trend à la Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Then came suede trousers, as we all desperately sought
out ways to keep our legs warm as the weather took a turn.

Now, it’s reached our accessories. On outfit-sharing platform LTK, there’s been a 600% uptick in searches for suede
bags in the last week alone. Anyone on Instagram will know
within a minute of scrolling you’ll come across another trendy
influencer with a suede hobo chucked over their shoulder.

The style du jour is a super soft tote big enough to chuck
all your work gear in. One rule to remember?
The slouchier, the better. Jigsaw’s £195 version has a magnet
closure across the top, which has the dual benefit
of keeping your belongings safe and causing the accessory to crinkle in the middle,
    for an uber-effortless effect.

But if you don’t fancy lugging a huge tote to the bar, there are plenty
of chic smaller suede offerings to opt for. Arket’s AW24 collection includes a
suede take on the practical half-moon crossbody, available in beige, black and a rich mocha.
At a cheaper price point, River Island and Urban Outfitters have great faux suede options
that are not only kinder on the purse strings, but require a bit less looking after than the famously delicate authentic stuff.

To help you shop the trend, we’ve chosen 13 of our favourite suede bags whatever your budget.

  26. Abbie Chatfield has revealed the sexual act she would never engage in with
    her partner, Adam Hyde.

The FBoy Island star, 29, recently opened up about the launch
of her ‘kink kit’ sex toys and admitted that when it comes to bedroom fun, it’s strictly a two-person affair.

While she does fantasise about having a ménage à trois,
Abbie admitted that it’s something she could never actually go through with.

‘I have a fantasy about, like, seeing my partner f*** someone
    else,’ she told News Corp.

‘But I think I know in my heart that I don’t actually want to see it.
I just want to talk about it like, that’s something that I
    find hot.

‘But in reality, would I want to see that? Maybe, probably not.’

Abbie Chatfield has revealed the sex act she refuses to do with partner Adam Hyde

While she does fantasise about having a ménage à trois, Abbie admitted that it’s something she could never actually go through with.

    Pictured with boyfriend Adam Hyde

‘Like, whenever we get to a point where we’re like, “let’s have a threesome!”,
I’m like, “I don’t actually know if I’m gonna want to see that”,’
    she continued.

Elsewhere in the discussion, Abbie revealed that
her Peking Duk frontman partner was the perfect ‘product tester’
    for the kit.

‘He had feedback about the length of the flogger,’ she said, referring to the kit’s double-ended paddle.

‘It was a little bit too short after using that on me.’

Abbie’s racy admissions come after she recently urged women to withhold sex from their Donald Trump-supporting
    partners.

In a lengthy Instagram post, in the wake of Donald Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris in the US presidential election, the
reality star told women they should refuse to date or have sex
which anyone who supports his victory.

Alongside a series of posts from her story, she wrote: ‘IF THEY WANT TO TAKE AWAY REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOMS THEN
DO NOT LET THEM ENTER YOUR BODY.’

‘I’m done with the idea that men who support Trump (or Andrew Tate) are just ‘lost’ and we should have empathy
for them. They are gleefully posting threats of violence.’

‘They are happy that women’s rights are going to be
stripped. They are laughing at our tears. They
already have a SLOGAN in ‘your body my choice’.’

Abbie then told women to not let men with these views ‘near you’ because they are ‘dangerous’.

‘Ask them about their views! They are dangerous and they
don’t deserve your presence, emotional or domestic labour.
If your partner was in support of Trump OR EVEN APATHETIC,
STOP DOING ANYTHING FOR THEM THAT PATRIARCHY EXPECTS OF
YOU!! They are NOT entitled to your body or time.

‘If they see you as a human they wouldn’t need this explained to them.
    DUMP. THEM.’

She also claimed Trump’s presidency ‘will bring more violence towards women as men do not care about us’.

‘So stop giving them the perks of a relationship with you.
It isn’t your job. Be with a man who can take care of himself, who won’t expect sex and who
actually sees you as a human being.’

Abbie’s comments echo sentiments from the 4B movement which
sprung up in South Korea in the mid 2010’s.

The radical feminist movement, calls for proponents to not date,
get married, have sex, or have children with men.

Following the US presidential election some American women declared solidarity with the movement

  27. Amid tepid returns at the box office for Joker: Folie à Deux, a number of fans of the sequel took to
social media over the weekend in defense of the sequel to Todd Phillips’ 2019 motion picture.

The film, which sees Joaquin Phoenix return to the lead role of The
Joker/Arthur Fleck, debuted to a paltry $40 million at the domestic box office, good enough for
the weekend’s top spot, but less than projections, and half that of its predecessor.

Amid the early returns, a number of fans took up for the movie and its cinematic depth, in breaking away from the cookie cutter nature
of sequels to introduce a musical element not present in the first film, with Lady Gaga joining the franchise.

‘Joker 2 was amazing,’ one user said, adding that it was ‘100% as divisive as people
are making it out to be. I love that the film didn’t try to be a traditional sequel, and fully committed to the storytelling they presented.
It never deviated to be a film full of Easter eggs or any other crowd pleasing aspects.’

Another user said, ‘I kinda loved Joker 2. I loved how it was structured as a meta-exploration of the first
film’s fandom and the musical elements were a lot
    of fun.’

Amid tepid returns at the box office for Joker: Folie
à Deux, a number of fans of the sequel took to social media
over the weekend in defense of the sequel to Todd
Phillips’ 2019 motion picture, starring Joaquin Phoenix

One user marveled that Joker 2 is ‘getting universal
hate despite being more interesting and creative
than anything marvel has done in years is expected.’

A user said that ‘Joker 2 is genuinely such a clever movie which carries the character study format of the
first movie into the second in a way which, surprisingly, will floor you by
the end. I’m astounded reception is this bad because this is SUCH a clever movie’

as Joker flops at box office

Some users said that the bad word-of-mouth the film
was suffering from was impacting the opinions of moviegoers.

‘The Joker 2 hate is so forced like did we watched the same movie????????’ one user said,
while another said the hate for the film is ‘so unjustified.’

One fan predicted that the motion picture with stand the test of time with audiences.

‘I may be one of ten people who genuinely liked the Joker 2.

Remember me when society circles back to it in 10 years and says its a
masterpiece,’ said the user. ‘The world just wasn’t ready
    for it yet.’

Said one user: ‘I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. If you don’t like musicals or ‘art house’ style films you probably won’t like it because it’s not made for you.

The dynamic between Harley and Joker was brilliant and
showcased the ‘obsession’ that is key to that duo.’

The movie’s box office collapse was swift and has many in the
industry wondering: How did the highly anticipated sequel to an Oscar-winning, billion-dollar film with the same creative team go
wrong? Just three weeks ago, tracking services pegged the movie for a
$70 million debut, which would still have been down a fair amount
    from Joker’s record-breaking $96.2 million launch in October 2019.

A number of fans took to social media to defend the controversial sequel

Amid the early returns, a number of fans took up for the movie and its cinematic depth, in breaking away from the
cookie cutter nature of sequels to introduce a musical element not present
in the first film, with Lady Gaga joining the franchise

Reviews were mixed out of the Venice Film Festival, where it premiered in competition like the first movie and even got a 12-minute standing ovation.

But the homecoming glow was short-lived, and the fragile foundation would crumble in the coming weeks with its Rotten Tomatoes
score dropping from 63 percent at Venice to 33 percent by its
first weekend in theaters. Perhaps even more surprising were the audience
reviews: Ticket buyers polled on opening night gave the
film a deadly D CinemaScore. Exit polls from PostTrak weren’t any better.
It got a meager half star out of five possible.

‘That´s a double whammy that´s very difficult to recover from,’ said Paul Dergarabedian, the
senior media analyst for Comscore. ‘The biggest issue of all is the reported budget.
A $40 or $50 million opening for a less expensive movie would be a solid debut.’

Joker: Folie à Deux cost at least twice as much as the first
film to produce, though reported figures vary at exactly how pricey it was
to make. Phillips told Variety that it was less than the reported $200 million; Others have it pegged at $190 million. Warner
Bros. released the film in 4,102 locations in North America.

About 12.5 percent of its domestic total came from 415 IMAX screens.

Internationally, it’s earned $81.1 million from 25,788 screens, bringing
its total global earnings estimate to $121.1 million. In the next two weeks, Joker 2 will also open in Japan and China.

Second place went to Universal and DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot, which added
$18.7 million in its second weekend, bringing its domestic total to nearly $64 million.
Globally, it’s made over $100 million. Warner Bros.’ Beetlejuice Beetlejuice  took
third place in weekend five, Paramount’s Transformers
One landed in fourth and Universal and Blumhouse’s Speak No Evil rounded out
    the top five.

The other big new release of the weekend, Lionsgate’s White
Bird, flopped with just $1.5 million from just over 1,000 locations, despite an A+ CinemaScore.

Overall, the weekend is up from the same frame last year, but Joker’s start is an unwelcome
twist for theater owners hoping to narrow the
    box office deficit.

The sequel has already been the subject of many think pieces, some who posit that it was deliberately alienating fans of the first movie

Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix have said they aspired to make something as ‘audacious’ as the
first film. The sequel added Lady Gaga into the fold , as a Joker superfan, and delved further into the
mind of Arthur Fleck, imprisoned at Arkham and awaiting trial for the murders he committed in the first.
It´s also a musical, with elaborately imagined song
and dance numbers to old standards. Gaga even released a companion album
    called ”Harlequin,’ alongside the film.

The sequel has already been the subject of many think
pieces, some who posit that it was deliberately alienating fans of the first movie.
In cruder terms, it´s been called a ‘middle finger.’ But fans
often ignore the advice of critics, especially when it comes
to opening their wallets to see revered comic book
    characters on the big screen.

‘They took a swing for the fences,’ Dergarabedian said. ‘But
except for a couple of outliers, audiences in 2024 seem to want to know
what they´re getting when they´re going to the theater.
They want the tried and true, the familiar.’

Deadline editor Anthony D´Alessandro thinks the problem started
with the idea to make the Joker sequel a musical.
‘No fan of the original movie wanted to see a musical sequel,’ he wrote
    on Saturday.

The first film was also divisive and the subject of much discourse, then about whether it might send the wrong message to the wrong type of person. And yet people still flocked to see what the fuss was about.
Joker went on to pick up 11 Oscar nominations, including
best picture and best director, and three wins.

It also made over $1 billion and was the highest-grossing R-rated
film of all time, until this summer when Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine took the crown.

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S.

and Canadian theaters, according to Comscore. Final domestic figures will be released Monday.

  31. Hamas’ leader Yahya Sinwar could have given an order to execute all
the hostages who remain in Gaza if he died, a top Israeli negotiator has claimed.

Sinwar died on Wednesday after the IDF encountered him by chance, sending a drone to kill the terror leader.

Gershon Baskin, the Israeli negotiator who oversaw Sinwar’s 2011
release from an Israeli prison, along with 1,026 Palestinian prisoners, in exchange
for the return of kidnapped soldier Gilad Shilat, said
that his death was a ‘moment of either opportunity or a
    moment of doom.’

‘A moment of doom because there are rumours that Sinwar instructed people holding hostages that, should he be killed,
they should kill their hostages,’ he told the Telegraph.

At the time of Sinwar’s death, just over 100 hostages remained in Gaza, with 60 thought to still be alive.

Those who remain alive are at risk of never being returned
to their families, according Haaretz, which reported on Sunday that top US
officials, including Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, have assessed there is a slim
chance of a deal being brokered, given the tensions between Israel and Hamas.

Sinwar (pictured) died on Wednesday after the IDF encountered him by chance, sending a drone to kill the terror leader

Protesters attend a demonstration against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government and demand a deal to release all hostages held in Gaza,
during the Israel-Hamas conflict, near Netanyahu’s private residence in Jerusalem June 20

People protest against the government, to demand a ceasefire deal and
the immediate release of hostages kidnapped during the deadly October 7,
2023 attack by Hamas, in Tel Aviv, Israel

A senior Israeli official told the newspaper on Sunday, several
days after Sinwar’s passing: ‘There are currently no
serious cease-fire talks, and Blinken is fully aware of this.’

They added: ‘It’s unclear how Sinwar’s death will impact any potential negotiations, if they even exist
    at this stage.’

While Baskin told the Telegraph that it wasn’t possible
to confirm whether Sinwar had a kill order on the hostages, he said the rumours ought to be taken seriously, given how little Hamas appears to care for them.

He cited the horrific killing of six hostages in tunnels under
    Rafah in late August.

Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said the six were ‘cruelly
murdered by Hamas just a short time before we got to them.’

The six dead hostages were identified as Eden Yerushalmi, 24,
Carmel Gat, 39, Almog Sarusi, 26, Alex Lubnov, 26, Ori Danino, 25, and Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23.

Five of those who were recovered had been attending the Nova
music festival when Hamas terrorists began slaughtering festivalgoers, while taking others hostage.
Gat was at her family kibbutz when she was captured.

The time on the clock by the end of the footage is 1.32am, just five hours before the first terrorists
were spotted breaching into Israeli territory

This is the moment Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s wife is spotted seemingly holding a $32,000 bag
in the tunnel leading to his secret lair

Footage of his wife seems to show her entering the tunnel to the lair, carrying
a Birkin bag, the day before the horrendous tragedy. She is seen appearing to
    smile at the camera

Goldberg-Polin lost his arm when a grenade exploded during the carnage.

‘We saw the six hostages killed when Israel was entering the tunnel.

That could be the case now. We just don’t know,’
    Baskin said.

US probing ‘leaked Israeli documents’ which ‘indicate
Britain’s involvement in a deadly plot’

He said the return of the hostages depended entirely on whether Israel
is able to make a deal with Hamas.

‘It’s a moment of opportunity where Israel should be
issuing a very clear call that anyone who’s holding a hostage that releases them will be
given free passage for themselves and their family out
of Gaza to another country, as well as a lot of money.

‘In order to encourage them to do that, Israel should also be reaching out to Egypt
and Qatar and tell them to renew the negotiations quickly,
not on the deal that’s been negotiated without success
for almost four months, but on a deal that would bring the hostages home quicker and would obviously
require Israel to end the war.’

He said a deal would likely mean the release of Palestinian prisoners, a controversial point for many Israelis who believe
that their release would simply lead to another October 7-style attack
    in the future.

A Yemeni man looks at an artwork depicting the Hamas’
    Political Bureau Head Yahya Sinwar

Sinwar’s lair, discovered by Israeli soldiers in the Tel
al-Sultan area, was well-resourced, with food, water
and other supplies to help him survive for months underground

These are the disquieting images that show Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was
callously hiding out in relative comfort from his underground lair as he ordered his
terror group to carry out the bloodiest massacre Israel has ever endured

But Baskin said it was a mistake to think
like this: ‘October 7 wasn’t because of Sinwar. [It] was because we’re occupying another people for 56 years without enabling them to ever believe that they’re
going to be free, or locking two million people in Gaza under poverty
and telling them that they’ll never be able to leave Gaza.’

‘For Palestinians, the lessons learned must, first and foremost,
be that there should no longer be an armed struggle as part of their liberation strategy.

‘Right or wrong, the armed struggle primarily brings death and destruction.’

After winning the box office competition during its debut
weekend could not overcome the bad reviews, enduring an 82-percent decline in ticket sales.

The movie collected only $7.055 million, in spite of being
in more than four thousand theaters across the US.

  36. Jackie O Henderson has left her father Tony red-faced after a shocking stunt in which he
was tricked into reading about her threesome live on-air.

The awkward family exchange occurred on Tuesday’s Kyle and Jackie O Show when the radio queen and co-host Kyle Sandilands were discussing Jackie’s new memoir The Whole Truth.

Before getting her father on the line, Jackie
explained to listeners that she was about to get an unsuspecting Tony to
read an excerpt that detailed a night of passion with then boyfriend ‘Ugly’ Phil O’Neil and a 19-year-old stripper.

‘So this is going back to my Gold Coast days when I had met Phil who [later became]
my first husband,’ the 49-year-old explained.

‘I had only just met him at this point. I think [we were] two months into seeing each other.’

Jackie then prompted her unprepared father to read the
excerpt that detailed Phil’s living situation with the stripper and another, rather
    unsavory ‘stoner’ flatmate.

‘He lived in a place in Main Beach that felt like a motel
with two weird flatmates. One was a stoner guy who would
sit there blazed out of his gourd,’ Tony read from
    Jackie’s book.

Jackie O Henderson has left her father Tony a little red faced after
making him read about her first threesome live on air

The book then turned to Jackie’s first ménage à trois.

‘Then there was the stripper they lived with [named] Christie,’ Tony read.

‘We went out to a nightclub one night and we came home and we were having sex and Christie
decided she wanted to join us.

‘The idea of a threesome had obviously never occurred to me before I had
never even considered it because it didn’t sound like me.’

Tony soldiered on with the revealing passage which revealed that Jackie and Phil’s third was only interested
in one half of the equation.

‘I had no idea what to do – she was this cute 19-year-old with a
dark bob and an amazing body but she was only into women,’ Tony continued.

‘Phil was really excited but Christie kept slapping him away.
She did her thing and then left.’

When Kyle asked Jackie to clarify what she meant
by ‘did her thing’, a sheepish Jackie replied:
‘Let’s not talk about this in front of my dad, shall we.’

‘I had no idea what to do she was this cute 19 year old

thing and then left.’ Jackie id pictured with Phil

Despite the raciness of the content he had just read from his daughter’s book,
Tony admitted he was not shocked by the revelations.

‘Am I amazed? Probably not,’ he said.

‘I’m sort of trying to take all of this in. After all, its my daughter we’re talking about.
If it was somebody else, it would be a different story altogether.

    I’d be so excited.

‘I’ve been round the block a few times. I understand how these
    things happen.’

Another passage in the book revealed a very awkward encounter between Phil’s male flatmate and Jackie’s mother Julie.

‘My mum came over once and when no one answered the door, she put her face to the screen to see inside and that flatmate was right there in the
living room, pants down, w***ing,’ a shocked Tony read.

The revelations come after Jackie spoke for the first time about her years-long battle
with drugs which saw her secretly go to rehab at The Betty Ford
    Clinic in November in 2022.

During a tearful on-air admission, Jackie said at the height of her addiction, she took around
    10-12 Stilnox/Ambien sleeping pills and 24 Panadeine
    Forte painkillers a day.

  38. The days when we were all content to sip from a fat-lipped, sturdy, intelligent
    wineglass is over.

Maximilian Riedel, the 11th new release
of famed Riedel glassmaker and CEO of Riedel Crystal
the united states, likes to name those ‘joker glasses,
‘ and he has a point. We most likely shouldn’t be sipping excellent wine from utilitarian vessels.

Preaching the gospel of making use of suitable stemware, Mr.
Riedel is indeed a true believer. Rightfully
so, his household company is responsible for whatever a revolution within the wineglass business.

Yet this begs the question, does the wine glass
    matter that so much?

A certain lot within the community will have you believe that the
shape of a wineglass has no effect on the taste you the wine being savoured.

This, for the wine loving community is nothing but a grave sin.

After years and years of wine tasting, connoisseurs
have an unanimous opinion and that has been well
known and accepted- the perfect wineglass is the perfect
    companion for the perfect wine.

    But which wineglasses to buy?

Do a small experiment: pour your favourite wine in a coffee cup, a rocks glass and an excellent wine
stem. You will experience the fullest from the thin-lipped, svelte profile
of a suitable wineglass that makes it possible for swirling, considering air is
wine’s excellent friend. If your wine is stuffed right into a tiny
bowl, an oddly formed mug or, a pink Solo cup, good, you’ll fail
to notice the nuances in aroma and style.

But, most of us cannot afford to buy a wineglass for each grape varietal (currently Riedel presents wineglasses for everything from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon).
So we suggest buy the varietal specific glass of the varietal you enjoy the most.
When you love Pinot Noir, buy a Pinot Noir glass, for instance.

The other trick is to Spend approx. The same amount of money per glass that you simply do to your bottle of wine.

It has been said that drinking bubbles from a wide-mouthed wineglass as it enhances the
    experience completely.

Andrea Robinson, sommelier for Delta Air strains, grew so frustrated with the ‘which stem
for what wine’ dialog that she got down to make
The ONE-one excellent stem for all reds and
one ideal stem for all whites. Robinson spent over three years constructing the prototypes
for her glasses. After years of tastings and research, Robinson concluded that the 2 nice shapes to begin from
had been Pinot Noir glasses for reds and Sauvignon Blanc glasses for whites.

Riedel puts some love into every wine glass they make.
It’s slightly lavish and overly scientific, however the enthusiasts find it irresistible.
“We see glass as an instrument designed to highlight specifics from the DNA of all grape varieties. Our stems are designed in style workshops, now not on computer systems or on a drawing pad.” Maximilian likes to point out.
Riedel confesses to having a favourite stem-and for good rationale.
    “My favourite glass has an emotional connection; it’s the first varietally specified glass ever created (with the aid of my grandfather), a pinot noir glass (the Riedel Sommeliers Burgundy Grand Cru / Pinot Noir Wine Glass)which holds 37 oz., greater than a single bottle. His different fave? The Vinum Excel which used to be at first developed to compliment Oregon Pinot Noir. “i admire this shape for many causes;
it’s a multi-tasking glass. Even the cellar grasp at Dom
Perignon uses it for their rose old Champagnes.”

In India, wine sommeliers and enthusiasts have slowly yet steadily taken up the daunting task of introducing the concept of wineglasses affecting the taste of wine.

For a long time, people were content with buying one standard flute or broad shaped glass and that was that. But with the advent of regular exchange of information and the constant need to maximise the experiences of luxury, it was but little surprise that wine glasses and their variety would slowly found their place in India as well.

At present there are as many stem options as there are wines. Schott Zwiesel’sTritan line boasts a floor finish supposed to fortify the wineglass-ideal for keeping inebriated social gathering-goers from breaking the glasses. They are also promoting a completely new tasting glass called ‘Airome’, which in keeping with the website is “a built-in aroma wave, ” designed to enable extra space within the glass for the wine to breathe.

Nowadays you can get wine glasses in India from a variety of places, be it your local lifestyle store or a chic global boutique in a quaint location in town. But Wine aficionados find ordering online the best solution. A wide array of websites sells wineglasses in India. Not only are they well stocked but also offer the necessary variety a connoisseur looks for.

It is also possible to buy original Riedel wineglass series online. But locally crafted wine glasses within India are nothing short of perfection themselves. The craftsmanship is boast-worthy and the experience, in no way, falls short.

The constant talk about whether all the pain of choosing the right wine glass is worth it or not, is simply put to rest with time and experience. Once you start enjoying and admiring the variety of wine, the point about the glasses automatically slip into the conversation.

Certainly, the talk these days is extra about which stem one will have to buy and whether or not longer the wine stem will have an impact on the type of wine. As is so quite often the case with the fruit of the vine, that reply is personal. Riedel has been known to sum up when asked what each good wine stem should have, and he went on to say “excellent wine
to share.” Oh, and the foremost rule of them all? Wash the wine glasses the next day, now not after you’ve emptied the bottle. Visit wine & Beer Glasses

  39. ‘Tis the season of hosiery. Paired with a mini skirt and a sequin blazer
(we’re looking at you, Selena Gomez), or styled with a little
black dress and a pair of killer heels (à la Alexa Chung at the Fashion Awards), tights and stockings are a
great way to add style – and perhaps an extra layer of warmth –
to your outfits during the autumn and winter months.

From matte to glossy, opaque to sheer, and black to skin-toned
shades, there’s a lot more to consider than just the denier number when it comes to picking out a pair of classic tights.

And then, of course, there is also patterned hosiery (think delicate designs like a back seam, polka dots
or lace detailing) to elevate your winter style.

    ‘Tis the season of hosiery

In 2024, tights should no longer be an obligation but a fashion choice.
Google searches for ‘tights’ are up by 115% since the temperatures
first dropped, and at high-street favourite M&S two pairs are sold every minute.
So what styles are we buying?

The top spot is claimed by the retailer’s 60 Denier Body Sensor Tights (a handy three-pack that
sells for just £8 and is available in a black, navy and brown).
The 40 Denier Body Sensor Tights (£8 for a three-pack) are second favourite, followed
by the 30 Denier Body Sensor Tights (£8 for a
three-pack). The fourth most popular pair is the 60 Denier
Magicwear Opaque Tights (£14 for a two-pack), and the top five
is rounded out by the 100 Denier Magicwear Opaque Tights (£14 for
    a two-pack).

These are the number one selling tights at Marks & Spencer

M&S believes the decision between opaque and sheer tights
should be based on the formality of our outfit.
‘Opaque black tights will go with basically everything.

Often said to clash with black; blue or brown hues are also an option.’

‘Sheer tights are great for more formal occasions and warmer
temperatures, as they provide a lighter and more breathable option,’ the high street giant added.
‘You can achieve that elegant, barely-there look with a little extra coverage.’

Similarly, intricate patterns, logos and glitter are best suited for evening looks, says
M&S. ‘For a daytime or office look, stick with polka dots or diamond patterned tights, or
if you’re looking for some added cosiness, try cable-knit tights for some subtle texture.’

Terrifier 3 dethrones Joker: Folie À Deux as box office champ

The movie studio spent about $200 million to produce the film and about $100 million on marketing and distribution,
    according to the report.

It would need to gross about $450 million at the box office
to break even — when factoring in the cut taken by theaters — though Warner Bros.
sources claim the number is $375 million.

A Warner Bros. spokesperson responded to the report, saying ‘Any estimates suggested by anonymous “insiders” or “rival executives” are grossly wrong and continues a trend where rumor is reported
    as fact.’

‘The film continues to play in theatrical release, included with
this week’s opening in China, and will continue to earn revenue throughout its home viewing and ancillary
    run.’

So far, the musical about Batman’s nemesis has grossed $51.5 million domestically and $165 million globally after two weeks of
    release.

In comparison, the first Joker grossed $96.2 million domestically and $248.4 million globally
    after three days of release.

The hotly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 billion dollar Oscar-winning film was considered a surefire hit for
Warner Bros Pictures, yet ended up being slammed by critics and failed to ignite at the box

Joker: Folie À Deux has garnered the lowest CinemaScore in comic
book movie history as the film bombed at the box office
    on opening night.

The psychological musical thriller — which has been criticized
as ‘bleak’ and ‘disappointing’ — officially released in theaters on Friday, October 4.

theatrical release; Phoenix and Gaga seen in a still

Phoenix reprised his role as the Joker in the sequel, which had earned him an Oscar for his
portrayal in the 2019 film, while Gaga took on the role of Harleen Lee Quinzel (Harley Quinn).

However, Joker: Folie À Deux has been given a D rating
on CinemaScore — the lowest score for a comic book movie.

Madame Web — which notably also flopped
in theaters earlier this year and also received terrible reviews — holds a higher score
    with a C+.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie currently holds an audience score of 31%
and a critic score of 32%.

The sequel has been roundly criticized for being
a musical and ‘ignoring’ the DC fanbase – with an agent familiar with
director Todd Phillips’ process telling Variety he
‘wanted nothing to do with DC’ during the making
of the film, with DC bosses James Gunn and Peter
Safran notably absent from the film’s LA premiere afterparty last month.

A source said: ‘If the first movie was about some down-on-his-luck,
mentally ill guy in a downtrodden city, it makes maybe $150 [million] worldwide.
Not a billion. People showed up because that guy was Joker.’

In an apparent snub by Phillips, the opening sequence
of the film does not include a DC Studios logo.

A Warner spokesman added that a DC logo appears at the end of the Joker sequel, while Phillips declined to
    comment to the publication.

Several frictions are said to have developed between Phillips, DC and Warner- with claims that
Michael DeLuca, Chairperson of Warner Bros. Entertainment, and CEO Pamela Abdy seemed ‘unwilling’ to say no to
Phillips due to his huge past successes.

It is claimed Phillips would ‘only’ speak with DeLuca and
Abdy rather than Gunn and Safran – who took control of DC
two months before production began on Joker 2 in December
    2022.

Gunn and Safran did attend the first director’s cut screening for the studio but Phillips fueled rift speculation when he told a reporter: ‘With all due respect to them, this is kind
    of a Warner Bros. movie.’

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav also met with Phillips
shortly after WarnerMedia and Discovery merged in April
2022 and was ‘open to filming in Los Angeles if the director would make the sequel at a lower price point.’

The studio wanted to film in London which would have cost around 20 per cent less.

A source directly involved with the film recently shared:
‘The one thing about genre stuff: If you don’t listen and pay attention to what
the fan expectations are, you’re going to fail’; director Todd Phillips seen with Gaga and Phoenix at the LA premiere September 30

However, Phillips insisted on filming in LA with the budget
    remaining static.

A Warner spokesman told the publication the studio ‘supported the decision to film in Los Angeles’.

A source directly involved with the film said: ‘No one could get through to Todd.
And the one thing about genre stuff: If you don’t listen and pay attention to what the
fan expectations are, you’re going to fail.

Insiders also claim studio bosses did not want to premiere the film at
the Venice Film Festival, but Phillips pushed back – with a Warner spokesman saying the studio ‘fully
supported the decision to bring the film to Venice.

Along with Gaga and Phoenix, other stars that had appeared in the sequel include Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener,
    Zazie Beatz and Steve Coogan.

    release.

The movie, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, will be available to rent from home starting October 29, in an effort to recoup
some of Warner Bros. investment into the film, as
    per Variety.

The musical, which bombed at the box office, is ‘poised to lose at
least $150 million to $200 million in its theatrical
    run’ according to the publication.

The movie studio spent about $200 million to produce the film and about $100 million on marketing and distribution, according to the report.

It would need to gross about $450 million at the box office to break even — when factoring in the
cut taken by theaters — though Warner Bros. sources claim the number is $375 million.

A Warner Bros. spokesperson responded to the report,
saying ‘Any estimates suggested by anonymous “insiders” or “rival executives” are grossly wrong and continues a trend where rumor
    is reported as fact.’

‘The film continues to play in theatrical release, included with this week’s opening in China, and
will continue to earn revenue throughout its home viewing and ancillary
    run.’

So far, the musical about Batman’s nemesis has grossed
$51.5 million domestically and $165 million globally after two
    weeks of release.

In comparison, the first Joker grossed $96.2 million domestically and $248.4 million globally after three days
    of release.

The hotly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 billion dollar
Oscar-winning film was considered a surefire hit
for Warner Bros Pictures, yet ended up being slammed by critics and failed to ignite at the box office.

Joker: Folie À Deux has garnered the lowest CinemaScore in comic book movie history as the film
bombed at the box office on opening night.

The psychological musical thriller — which has
been criticized as ‘bleak’ and ‘disappointing’ — officially released in theaters on Friday, October 4.

Phoenix reprised his role as the Joker in the sequel, which had earned him an Oscar for his
portrayal in the 2019 film, while Gaga took on the role
of Harleen Lee Quinzel (Harley Quinn).

However, Joker: Folie À Deux has been given a D rating on CinemaScore — the
lowest score for a comic book movie.

The movie will be available to rent from home starting October 29, in an effort to recoup some of Warner Bros.

investment into the film, according to Variety

Madame Web — which notably also flopped in theaters earlier this year
and also received terrible reviews — holds a higher score with a C+.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie currently holds
an audience score of 31% and a critic score of 32%.

The sequel has been roundly criticized for being a musical and ‘ignoring’ the DC fanbase –
with an agent familiar with director Todd Phillips’ process telling Variety he ‘wanted nothing to
do with DC’ during the making of the film, with DC bosses James Gunn and
Peter Safran notably absent from the film’s LA premiere afterparty
    last month.

A source said: ‘If the first movie was about some down-on-his-luck,
mentally ill guy in a downtrodden city, it makes maybe $150 [million] worldwide.

Not a billion. People showed up because that guy was Joker.’

In an apparent snub by Phillips, the opening sequence of the film
does not include a DC Studios logo.

A Warner spokesman added that a DC logo appears at the end of the
Joker sequel, while Phillips declined to comment to the publication.

Several frictions are said to have developed between Phillips,
DC and Warner- with claims that Michael DeLuca, Chairperson of Warner Bros.
Entertainment, and CEO Pamela Abdy seemed ‘unwilling’ to say no to Phillips due to his huge past successes.

It is claimed Phillips would ‘only’ speak with DeLuca and Abdy rather than Gunn
and Safran – who took control of DC two months before production began on Joker 2 in December 2022.

Gunn and Safran did attend the first director’s cut screening for
the studio but Phillips fueled rift speculation when he told a reporter: ‘With all due respect to
them, this is kind of a Warner Bros. movie.’

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav also met with Phillips shortly after WarnerMedia and
Discovery merged in April 2022 and was ‘open to filming in Los Angeles if the director would make the sequel at a lower price point.’

The studio wanted to film in London which would have cost around 20 per cent less.

A source directly involved with the film recently
shared: ‘The one thing about genre stuff: If you don’t listen and pay attention to what the
fan expectations are, you’re going to fail’; director Todd Phillips seen with Gaga and Phoenix at
    the LA premiere September 30

However, Phillips insisted on filming in LA with the
    budget remaining static.

A Warner spokesman told the publication the studio ‘supported the decision to film in Los Angeles’.

A source directly involved with the film said: ‘No one could get through to Todd.
And the one thing about genre stuff: If you don’t listen and pay attention to what the fan expectations are,
    you’re going to fail.

Insiders also claim studio bosses did not want to premiere the film at the Venice Film Festival,
but Phillips pushed back – with a Warner spokesman saying the studio ‘fully supported the decision to bring
    the film to Venice.

Along with Gaga and Phoenix, other stars that had
appeared in the sequel include Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Zazie Beatz and Steve Coogan.

The film is the much-anticipated follow-up to 2019’s Academy Award-winning Joker, which earned more than $1 billion at
the global box office and remains the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.

The second instalment finds Arthur Fleck institutionalised at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker.

‘While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him,’ a press release shared.

Speaking at the Venice Film Festival he said: ‘I’m not going to talk through specifics of the diet, because I just think nobody
    wants to hear that.

‘But this time, it felt a bit more complicated just because there was
so much dance rehearsal that we were doing, which I didn’t have last time.

    it’s difficult to do so.

to get to a certain weight.

‘So then you end up talking about it, and then it just sounds like

  48. Joker: Folie À Deux has been branded the ‘most
disappointing follow-up to the Oscar-winning movie’ by critics,
as they cast doubt on Lady Gaga’s ‘thin’ role in the film
    following its release on Friday.

The ‘bleak’ sequel, has also received a tepid reception from fans,
with some claiming Lady Gaga’s career could be at risk.

While the same director Todd Phillips was back in the hot seat,
critics have said the sequel is just a ‘repeat’ of the first hit but with an added musical twist.

Most critics have said Todd failed to use Gaga correctly
in the movie and claimed she was only bought in for the musical aspect of
    it.

While the majority of critics say Joker: Folie À

Joker: Folie à Deux premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival last month and was released in the United Kingdom and
    the United States on Friday.

The Daily Mail’s Brian Viner commended the move as ‘bold’ and ‘brilliant’ but said it lacked any thrill.

Giving the sequel a four star rating, he wrote: ‘This film is audaciously different in style from
the original, not as electrifying, but bold and brilliant all
    the same.

‘Arthur is now behind bars, waiting to see whether he will be judged sane

Joker: Folie a Deux is a punchline five years in the making,
    writes BRIAN VINER

‘Lady Gaga plays Lee, a fellow inmate on her way, we suppose,
to becoming Joker’s girlfriend Harley Quinn. The pair hit it
off at a music therapy class, and are soon mutually smitten, but Lee makes it clear that she
loves the dangerously charismatic Joker, ‘clown prince of crime’, not the
    gloomily introspective Arthur.

‘Which is more real: the psychopath wearing the mask or the vulnerable fellow behind it?
Either way, identity confusion is the theme of this film, which keeps being billed as a musical.

‘It’s not, really, although music looms large as an expression of Arthur and Lee’s
burgeoning love for one another. And there are a couple of swooning dance routines
that make them look like psychotic versions of Ryan Gosling
and Emma Stone in La La Land (2016).

‘For me, Joker was a near-masterpiece, and while this sequel doesn’t scale those
heady heights, it is still a gripping film about mental illness; not quite comparable with
all-time greats such as Psycho (1960) and One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), but not too far off.’

  49. July 23 (Reuters) – Philip Morris International pushed the test-launch of its heated tobacco device, IQOS, in the U.S.
to the fourth quarter on Tuesday and lowered its annual forecast for the heated tobacco business.

The pilot was earlier scheduled to run in Austin, Texas, in the second quarter, for which the company reported results
    on the day.

The company declined to comment on why the launch had
    been delayed.

Philip Morris has invested billions to promote and expand its portfolio of alternatives to traditional combustible cigarettes amid stricter regulations and falling smoking rates in some markets.

The launch of its flagship heated tobacco device in the
United States is also facing resistance from health campaigners,
who have written to regulators in the country accusing the company of misrepresenting past regulatory decisions, Reuters reported last
    week.

The company also awaits market authorization from the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration for its IQOS ILUMA device, which
it expects by the second half of 2025.

A ban on flavored heated tobacco in the European Union has already hit shipments this
year, with Philip Morris saying the impact from the ban was “slightly greater” than previously assumed.

This led the company to temper its expectations for volume growth in the heated tobacco category
to around 13% for the full year, down from between 14% and 16% expected earlier.

However, Philip Morris topped quarterly expectations
and raised its annual sales and profit forecasts, betting on demand
for its Zyn nicotine pouches, as well as
higher cigarette pricing. (Reporting by Juveria Tabassum and Emma

  50. Americans are continuing to rave over $3.99 mini tote bags from Trader Joe’s, with some even willing to get physical with other shoppers.

The supermarket chain launched the Mini Insulated Tote across its stores on June 4 and the
limited-time product flew off the shelves, immediately selling out in several stores in California.

In a video posted to TikTok, at least a dozen Trader Joe’s customers crowded around a
pallet filled with the sought-after magenta and teal
    tote bags.

In the midst of the bag-grabbing frenzy, an elderly woman was almost
knocked off her feet by fellow shoppers.

People were seen leaving with multiple bags in both colors
and in fewer than 20 seconds, every single bag was gone.

Customers are seen scrambling to get their hands on the highly sought-after bags, with most of them taking far
    more than one

In fewer than 20 seconds, every single bag was gone.

Shoppers were admonished for their behavior

‘Oh my god people, you got no manners,’ the man recording the video said to the crowd.

One of the store employees also appeared to admonish some
of the customers for their behavior. It’s unclear
which Trader Joe’s location this happened at.

But a quick perusal of eBay reveals why people are more than eager
to push through the competition and get their
    hands on these bags.

Among many listings selling the bags in pairs, some are asking for astronomical
    sums.

One person is asking for $149.99 for a set
of three, two pink and one teal, which in store would have cost roughly $12
    excluding tax.

So far, there has been no bites but at least five people have viewed the listing in the last 24 hours.

The store chain is selling mini insulated totes that come in magenta and
teal. Consumers who purchased the bags are now reselling
them on eBay for up to $150

This set of three bags, which would have costed just under $12 excluding tax is being sold for $149.99 on eBay

This isn’t the first time Trader Joe’s has struck gold, previously offering mini
canvas tote bags that were also massively popular.

These canvas bags, which were sold for $2.99 in store, are now only available through scalpers who are charging as much as $750 for them.

They’re specifically popular in Japan, as they’ve become the ultimate status symbol for ‘Amerikajin’ fashion, or America-core, BBC reported in March.

Trader Joe’s plans to restock these canvas bags across
their US locations by August or September.

  51. July 20 (Reuters) – Philip Morris International beat analysts’ expectations for
quarterly profit and raised the lower end of its
annual earnings forecast, as tobacco and labor costs ease,
and demand remains robust for its smokeless Zyn and IQOS products.

In December last year, Philip Morris acquired Hay-maker Swedish
Match for a share of the popular smokeless and spitless
nicotine pouches as younger customers increasingly prefer alternatives to traditional combustible cigarettes.

Shipment volume growth for Zyn in the U.S. jumped more than 50% in the three months ended June 30, the company said on Thursday.

From mid-2024, Philip Morris will have the sole rights to market and sell IQOS products – which
heat cigarettes instead of burning them – in the U.S., as per its deal with Altria Group .

Total IQOS users at the end of June were
up by 1.4 million from March, the company
said, taking the total number to 27.2 million.

Its second-quarter adjusted profit per share of $1.60 beat
analysts’ average estimates for a profit of $1.47, as per Refinitiv data.

Net revenue rose 14.5% to $8.97 billion, topping estimates
    of $8.65 billion.

The 176-year old company is also benefiting from higher prices
for its traditional combustible cigarettes, after supply-chain snags inflated
freight and raw-material costs last year.

Philip Morris now expects these pressures to ease in the second half of the year,
allowing the company to raise the lower-end of its full-year profit forecast.

The company boosted the lower end to $6.13 per share from
$6.10, while retaining the upper end at $6.22.

The whole place is scented with gilded ennui.

Our fellow diners are two young South Korean women of pale, luminescent beauty, clad in diaphanous couture.

They don’t speak, rather communicate entirely via camera
phone. Pose, click, check, filter, post. Immaculate waiters hover in the shadows.

We sip ice-cold vodka, and eat a £77 caviar and smoked-salmon Kaspia croque monsieur that tastes far better than it ought to.
Next door, a large table fills with a glut of the noisily,
    glossily confident.

We’re looked after by a wonderful French lady of such effervescent charm and charisma that had she burst into an impromptu
performance of ‘Willkommen’, we would have barely blinked.

Baked potatoes, skin as crisp as parchment, insides whipped savagely hard with butter and sour cream, are a study in tuber art.
A cool jet-black splodge of oscietra caviar, gently saline, raises them to the sublime.
Only the price, at just under £150 each, is ridiculous.
But there are few better dishes on earth. I’d eat this every day if I could.
But I can’t. Obviously. That’s the problem with caviar. One taste is never enough.

Beef wellington sliced and sauced at the table (£150) and crêpes suzette flambéed with aplomb (£62): Arts de la Table is edible theatre at its most delectable.

    Otto’s

Come to this classic French restaurant for the canard or homard à la presse (£150-£220 per person); stay

    Sushi Kanesaka

Piscine perfection comes at an eye-watering £420 per

    Min Jiang

The dim sum is some of the best in town. But don’t miss the wood-fired Beijing duck (£98) – crisp skin first, then two servings of the meat.
    Superb.
