Создатели сериала “Призраки дома на холме” придумали гениальную концепцию: в первом и втором сезонах взяли за основу известные готические романы, оставили от них только шкурку, сделали их намного более драматичными и вообще больше про людей, чем про сверхъестественное. Актеры при этом частично те же, но истории никак не связаны. Второй сезон носит название Призраки усадьбы Блай /The Haunting of Bly Manor и основаны на романе Генри Джеймса “Поворот винта”.
Как и в романе, в поместье приезжает няня, чтобы воспитывать двух сирот. Ее нанял их дядя, которого в поместье не бывает. Там живут садовница, повар и экономка. Прибыв в поместье, тетка узнает, что одна няня уже была, но утонула в пруду. А еще был дворецкий-управляющий, который исчез (сбежал?) Вскоре начинает происходить всякое странное, а детишки явно темнят.

Чтоб было еще непонятнее, повествование нелинейное, потом все сводится к общему знаменателю. Немного затянуто, зато эта затянутость создает нужную трагически-мрачную атмосферу, хотя порой и хочется промотать. Страшно не особо, первый сезон был намного страшнее. И пронзительнее. Но этот тоже хороший и стоит просмотра.
