Как говорят мои френды с хорошим литературным вкусом, Филиппа Грегори – говно. Но! Это очень кинематографичное говно. Кроме того, она написала целый цикл “Войны кузенов” о тётках 15 века. И без всяких там жезлов, хотя и с долей исторического вымысла. Книги у нее и правда так себе, но сериалы получаются интересные. Если, конечно, вы не эстет с утонченным вкусом, досконально разбирающийся в истории. Или придира, которого пучит от белых зубов персонажей.
“Белая принцесса” (The White Princess), 2017 год, 8 серий.
Время в Британии было сложное, Война Алой и Белой розы, и тётки в то время отжигали тоже не слабо. А что делать? Хочешь жить и чтобы жили твои сыновья, рвись к власти, воруй-убивай.
В сериале идёт речь об Елизавете Йоркской, дочери короля Эдуарда IV, из Йорков. Йорки, как мы помним, плохо кончили, потому что на свет божий вылезли Тюдоры. У Генриха VII, который убил последнего короля из Йорков, дядю Элизабет, Ричарда III, прав на трон не было, но была Мамо, Маргарет Бофор, женщина-танк. Давным-давно сговорились, что Елизавета выйдет замуж за Генриха, чтобы объединить династии. Что чувствовала девушка, выходя замуж за убийцу дяди, а также предположительно убийцу брата или братьев? Мы уже не узнаем. По версии сериала, одного брата Елизавета с матерью припрятали, и он выжил, второго грохнули Тюдоры. Замуж она выходила с ненавистью в сердце, но родив мальчика, понимает, что она больше не может быть Йорком. Или её ребёнок, или родственники.
Несмотря на то, что спойлеры известны, а про второго брата наврали, смотрится интересно. Опять же все красивые. Платья, тётки, доспехи, вот это вот все.
Кстати, брак у Генриха и Елизаветы был счастливым. Он так её любил, что буквально зачах после её смерти.
Мишель Фейрли, которая Кейтлин Старк, зажгла – смотришь и это тру Маргарет Бофорт. Король кучеряв и хорош, но все время стонет “почему меня никто не любит?!” Сириозли, чувак? 😁
Про маму Елизаветы, жену Эдуарда IV, тоже есть сериал, тоже интересный и тоже по Грегори: “Белая Королева” (The White Queen). Он состоит из 10 серий. Кроме классной Ребекки Фергюсон, там есть сущая обаяшка Макс Айронс.
В этом году выходит своеобразное продолжение – сериал о Екатерине Арагонской, первой жене Генриха VIII, “Испанская принцесса”.
“Волчий зал” (Wolf Hall), 2015 год, 6 серий. Это уже уровень повыше, хотя бы потому что основан он на романе Хилари Мантелл, получившей за него Букеровскую премию.
Все знают про козла Генриха VIII, Анну Болейн и других его жён. Не все знают, кто стоял за этими безобразиями. Первый советник короля, Томас Кромвель, человек из народа, добившийся высокого положения, благодаря своему уму и хитрости. Сначала он служил у кардинала Вулси, но тот не смог помочь королю развестись с Екатериной Арагонской, и попал в опалу. Но король раскумекал, что Кромвель поможет ему в любой ситуации. Сначала с Анной, а потом и с избавлением от Анны.
Признаться, мне эта дама всегда была несимпатична. И Клэр Фой играет её блестяще: красивая, упрямая, язвительная, своевольная, гордая и злая. Но как же её невероятно жалко! И как блестяще Льюис сыграл гондона-обаяшку Генриха! Но чувак, играющий Кромвеля (Марк Райленс) вообще уделывает всех. Хочется рукоплескать и кричать: верю! Верю, что ему жалко жертв, верю, что он не зверь, а просто выполняет волю дурноватого монарха. От того на лице его застыло скорбно-отрешенное выражение.
Роскошные костюмы, шикарный саундтрек.
Про “Корону” (The Crown) тоже напишу, вдруг кто-то не в курсе (хотя вряд ли).
События начинаются со свадьбы Елизаветы II. Король уже тяжело болен, Елизавете приходится вместо него отправиться в длительную поездку, а потом и вовсе принять бразды правления. Казалось бы, а чо такова? Хорошо быть королевой. Но нам, конечно, показывают другую сторону медали. Невозможность управлять собственной жизнью, зарегулированность, подчинение строгим ритуалам, публичность. Корона это не права, а обязанности. И с этой точки зрения очень интересно показана вроде бы романтичная история любви короля Эдуарда VII – не как отказ от привилегий, а снятие с себя ответственности.
Снято красиво, по бохатому, актриса, играющая Елизавету, сущая няшка, но Мэтт Смит!!! О боги, почему меня никто не предупредил?! Мамоньки, какой же он страшный! Кукумбер, говорите? Да он почти красавчик на фоне Смита. Зато теперь понятно, в кого Чарльз такой страшный 😁
С третьего сезона нас ждут другие актеры, потому что сериал планируют дотянуть до настоящего времени, а персонажи не молодеют.
“Виктория” (Victoria), о приснопамятной королеве Виктории, которая не всегда была скучной и замученной послеродовой депрессией. Истинное украшение 1 сезона – Руфус Сьюэлл в роли лорда Мельбурна. 13 января вышла 1 серия 3 сезона.
