В рамках программы “забори свою неприязнь к Джереми Айронсу” и просмотра всякой древности позырила кино “Женщина французского лейтенанта”/The French Lieutenant’s Woman, которое старательно обходила десятой дорогой. Айронс там в ужасных усяврах, но в целом дело двигается, я его уже почти люблю.
Дело происходит в викторианскую эпоху, тетки в корсетах, мужики в бакенбардах, все занудные и чопорные. Чарльз, чувак из очень хорошей семьи, нимношк упарывается по ракушкам (это модно) и собирается жениться на богатой пошлой тетке в жутких шмотках. Ракушки он собирает в Лайм-Реджис (как Мэри Эннинг). Однажды, прогуливаясь с невестой, он замечает тетку, которая пырится в море. И сражается наповал. Красивая! Кучерявая! Загадочная! От местных и самой тетки он узнает ее печальную историю. И, хотя доктор предупреждает о его о типе женщины “уточка-бедося”, Чарльз уже пропал. Вторая линия – про актеров, играющих этих персонажей в фильме, у них тоже асисяй.
В кино, конечно, все дурные и не лечатся, особенно тетка. Обычно я за теток, но это не тот случай, причем Мерил Стрип своими кривляниями (просите) прям добавляет желания ей ввалить. Ей, между прочим, за них ей дали бафту и золотой глобус. А Айронсу – по всей морде, наверняка из-за усов. Кино меланхоличное, красивенькое и грустное, в унылую погоду лучше не зырить.
