70-е годы, Бенхамин трудится в органах правосудия и расследует ужасающее своей жестокостью преступление: изнасилование и убийство молодой женщины прямо в ее доме. Вдовец безутешен, Бенхамин впечатлен силой его любви, он сам таки чувств не переживал. Но чу, в его коменде по расследоваию убийства – тетка-секретарь, которой он чувствует родственную душу. Правда, у тетки семья. Вторая линия повествования – 25 лет спустя, когда Бенхамин пишет книгу об этих событиях.
Хотя позиционируется это, как триллер, он тут вторичен, как и детектив, это драмища с глубоким смыслом, меланхоличная и атмосферная, красиво снятая с финалом, от которого зритель отваливает челюсть.
