Кидман играет полицейскую Эрин, которая один раз в жизни сделала кое-что не так и все. Это “и все” плотно прилипло к ее лицу и держится там весь фильм – потухшие глаза, расфокусированный взгляд, серые губы, ужасный парик и ужасный же серый грим (все то же самое у Кейси Аффлека в фильме “Манчестер у моря” отлично получилось без грима).
Когда Эрин и ее напарник работали под прикрытием и внедрились в некую банду, случилась Ужасная Хрень. Постепенно Хрень раскрывается во флэшбэках и становится понятно, почему Эрин ходит с таким лицом. (Зритель при этом офигевает, потому что она натурально выглядит на 25)
На самом деле у нее единственная цель в жизни – найти главаря банды и замочить. Поэтому весь фильм она ходит с Лицом и трясет всех, кто может знать его местонахождение.
Чем это кино отличается от сотни подобных криминальных драм про мстю? Несмотря на то, что из Николь Кидман бухающая полицейская, как из меня Твигги, режиссеру в целом удалась атмосфера тоски-печали (а кто тупой, тому еще раз покажут в конце флэшбэки). Но в принципе смотреть это необязательно.
