Самки откладывают яйца в гнездо или просто на землю, причем несколько самок могут сложить яйца в одну кучу. И сваливают за новыми приключениями. Самец бормочет что-то вроде “любишь ипаться, люби и дитачек растить” и усаживается на яйца. Вылупив птенцов, самец помогает им добывать пищу и охотиться, потому что тимаму всеядны и жрут даже мелких рептилий и млекопитающих.
