Немного олдскульная, чуточку затянутая, но очень красивая мелодрама со всеми присущими жанру элементами, помноженными на испанский колорит: злодеи дико коварны, хорошие – очень хорошие, драматические элементы чрезвычайно драматичны (героиня даже бежит по росе останавливать дуэль). Как ни странно, в сериале даже есть секс, причем довольно забористый, снятый не так пластмассово как обычно это бывает у испанцев. Костюмы и интерьеры очень хороши.
