- Паранормальный роман. Чаще все это асисяй про жезлы, только у героев рога/копыта/крылья/хвост. Попадаются и неплохие вещи, но рыть надо долго и упорно. Встречаются и настоящие шедевры. Например, Карен Мэри Монинг серия про фейри. Такая гадость, но оторваться невозможно, до чего интересно.
- Чик-лит. В современном антураже про современных героинь. София Кинселла, Хелен Филдинг. Бывают очень неплохие образцы жанра.
- Добротные лр, приличные и без жезлов, вроде «Поющих в терновнике». Редкий образец жанра.
- Смешение жанров, детектив с асисяем, например. Яркий образец — Мэри Стюарт.
- Про любовь и прочие переживания, но не лр. В библиотеках прячется в разделе «современная проза». Например, Доди Смит «Я захватываю замок» или «Великолепные руины» Джесса Уолтера.
